Job summary

Summit Line Construction, a subsidiary of Quanta Services, Inc., is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to oversee safety policies, procedures, and compliance for a major 765kV transmission project in southeast Ohio. The role focuses on building a strong safety culture, coordinating with multiple partners, and mentoring field teams across crews and contractors.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of safety leadership experience, OSHA/NESC knowledge, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety leadership experience, preferably in transmission line and substation construction.
• Experience on large-scale, multi-contractor projects.
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards (OSHA 1926 Subpart V) and NESC; energized-work practices.
• Preferred certifications: CSP, CHST, CIH, CUSP, OSHT, or equivalent.
• OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 510 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement project safety plans, JHAs, and energized-work/ tie-in procedures.
• Lead and mentor field safety advisors across crews and contractors; develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions; ensure timely reporting and documentation.
• Coordinate with the owner on safety requirements, orientations, audits, and reporting.
