Job summary

Summit Line Construction, Inc. is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to lead safety planning, policy implementation, and program management for a major transmission project in southeast Ohio.

You will build safety plans, train crews, manage incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple prime contractors. The role emphasizes field leadership, remote terrain planning, and collaboration with EMS and state officials to maintain a strong safety culture on a large-scale utility construction

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety leadership on transmission line and substation construction projects
• Experience on large-scale, multi-contractor projects
• Knowledge of OSHA/DOT safety regulations and AEP safety requirements preferred

Responsibilities

• Build and implement the project safety plan, JHAs, and energized-work procedures
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and safety audits
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to crews
• Communicate safety policies to employees and management
• Analyze safety metrics and report to management
• Support HSE program development and post-incident investigations
