Job summary

Summit Line Construction, a Quanta Services subsidiary, is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to lead safety programs and compliance across a major transmission project in remote southeast Ohio. You will plan, implement and oversee safety policies, train supervisors, and manage incident investigations.

You will coordinate with multiple primes and subs, ensure adherence to OSHA and DOT standards, and drive a strong safety culture on a 50-mile 765kV build planned for 2027–28.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety leadership in transmission line or substation construction.
• Experience on large-scale, multi-contractor projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 Subpart V and NESC.
• Proven ability to influence crews, supervisors and clients.
• OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 510 preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in safety management preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the project safety plan, JHAs, and energized-work procedures before mobilization.
• Plan emergency response and rescue for remote terrain with EMS coordination.
• Lead and mentor field safety advisors across crews and contractors.
• Investigate incidents, conduct learning reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with owner (AEP) on safety requirements, audits, and reporting.
• Produce safety reports and track leading and lagging indicators.
