Xcel Energy Inc. is seeking a seasoned Directs project/portfolio managers for extremely large and complex substation and transmission line projects.

You will define schedules, budgets, risks, changes, and resources, and guide strategic and tactical implementation while partnering with internal and external customers and service providers. Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' experience with demonstrated success in a supervisory role overseeing complex technical projects.
• Cross-functional interaction and program governance are essential.
• Knowledge of transmission engineering and construction projects.
• PMP Certification must be obtained within 18 months in the position.

Responsibilities

• Defines workflows, accountabilities, resource requirements, and reporting structures to optimize project implementation.
• Directs multi-year transmission workbook plan and ensures plan is executed within scope, timing, and forecast guidelines.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external organizations to optimize project implementation.
• Analyzes implementation effectiveness and implements continuous improvements.
• Provides strategic guidance on public and regulatory issues during project execution.
• Aligns policies with company objectives and strategies.
