Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a senior leader to direct the Transmission Asset Management/Planning group, shaping long and short-term system models, capital budgets, and risk-based planning. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (must have).
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive transmission planning/engineering/operations experience.
• Demonstrates a supervisory/lead role overseeing complex technical projects and relationships for a minimum of four years.

Responsibilities

• Leads and coordinates system models and plans to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance with standards.
• Develops and implements transmission asset management/planning strategies with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a rigorous plan and budget.
• Leads TAM participation on project teams and directs preparation of regulatory filings and technical studies.
• Provides leadership, direction and training for personnel regarding local and regional planning of the electric delivery system.
• Represents the company in regional organizations and transmission planning forums; stays abreast of new technologies and industry practices.
