Job summary

Xcel Energy in Denver, CO, is seeking a Senior Project/Portfolio Manager to lead large-scale substation and transmission programs. You will define schedules, budgets, risk management, and resource allocation, guiding a team of project managers and coordinating with internal/external partners to deliver multi-year workbooks.

Minimum 10 years in supervisory roles, PMP or equivalent certification, and knowledge of transmission engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in supervisory roles over complex technical projects.
• Project Management Professional Certification (must be obtained within 18 months in the position).
• Knowledge of transmission engineering and construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Define workflows, accountabilities, reporting relationships to optimize project delivery.
• Develop and direct multi-year transmission project/workbook planning with SLAs and resources.
• Provide daily management to ensure workbook plan is within scope, timing, and forecast.
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal/external organizations to optimize delivery.
• Continuously analyze performance and implement improvements.
• Provide strategic/tactical guidance on public and regulatory issues encountered during implementation.
• Align policies and procedures with company objectives and strategies.
