Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex transmission project executions in the U.S. The role involves coordinating with multiple departments, managing scope, schedule, and budget, and ensuring safety and client satisfaction throughout the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in the electric utility sector, with 7+ years in project management for transmission projects, and a proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree from ABET-accredited engineering program or a management/business degree.
• 10+ years in the electric utility industry (engineering, construction, planning, etc.).
• 7+ years of experience in Project Management of Utility Transmission projects.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities is critical to success.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project execution, contract administration, planning and resource management.
• Own all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience through the lifecycle.
• Direct and mentor project team members to ensure accountability.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with client leads and stakeholders.
• Lead efforts to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Support the reporting of KPIs for schedule, budget and dashboards.
• Identify and control construction risk and track changes.
• Communicate with stakeholders and supervisors; prepare clear project reports.
• Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.
