Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior or Principal Transmission Planning Engineer to join our Power Delivery team.

This role blends technical depth with leadership, mentoring engineers, driving industry standards, and delivering impact across the nation’s transmission system. The position supports multiple US offices including remote options; responsibilities include leading studies (load flow, short circuit, transient stability), modeling, interconnection processes, and engaging clients

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of transmission planning experience.
Experience with power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, transient stability, and contingency analysis.
Experience with ISO transmission systems, policies, and interconnection procedures.
Familiarity with generator interconnection processes and implementation.
Strong client relationships and communication skills; ability to engage with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers through complex power system studies and modeling.
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver reliability-enhancing solutions.
Ensure compliance with NERC reliability standards and planning criteria.
Represent the company in ISO/RTO forums and NERC regional entities.
Provide technical leadership and review team outputs for quality and consistency.
