Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior or Principal Transmission Planning Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. This role blends technical depth with leadership, mentoring engineers, and shaping industry standards. Locations include Tampa, FL; Lake Mary, FL; Kennesaw, GA; Palm Beach Gardens, FL, or remote in the US.

You will lead studies, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure reliability and economic improvements in the nation’s transmission system.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years in transmission planning.
Experience with GE PSLF, TARA, GridVIEW, PowerWorld, PSSE, or PROMOD, plus PSCAD.
Experience with ISO transmission systems, processes and policies.
Generator interconnection experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers through interconnection studies and complex power system studies.
Engage with clients to identify reliability and economic improvements for transmission systems.
Perform load flow, short circuit, transient stability, and contingency analyses; model economic production costs.
Participate in ISO/RTO stakeholder forums and NERC committees to represent the company.
Provide technical guidance and ensure quality and consistency in deliverables.
