Job summary

Qualifications

Ten years of transmission planning experience with software simulations and IBR modeling.
Advanced knowledge of electrical theory applied to planning an electric power supply system.
Experience applying NERC TPL, NPCC, and ISO-NE planning procedures.
Proficiency with PSSE/PSCAD and programming in Python; strong communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead reliability and strategic scenario-based planning studies across voltage, thermal, PV, transfer limits, short circuit, EM transient and stability assessments.
Develop robust, low-cost engineering solutions and review data/assumptions from stakeholders.
Interface with ISO-NE, area transmission owners, and Eversource departments to address system needs.
Document results and present recommendations with data manipulation and reports.
Train and advise junior engineers; act as SME for new technologies and standards.
Collaborate on long-range planning criteria for PV, EV, and battery storage integration.
Represent Eversource on regional and national committees and working groups.
