Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) seeks a Supervisor of Transmission Planning Engineering to lead and oversee engineering services in the department. You will guide long-range transmission planning and modeling/analysis activities, ensuring technically sound and cost-effective plans that meet reliability and regulatory objectives.

You\'ll supervise a multi-disciplinary team, manage proposals and contracts, and collaborate with management, interconnections, regulatory, and operations to align projects

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree from ABET accredited institution (or equivalent).
• Strong people management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience in utility transmission planning or power system analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise department engineering work to ensure technical soundness and cost effectiveness.
• Develop plans and proposals that meet customer needs and are profitable.
• Monitor expenditures and ensure prudent use of company resources.
• Maintain a technically competent department with staffing and development.
• Lead transmission planning activities and communicate results to management.
