Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Class A Lineman to safely construct and repair electrical transmission systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines and may travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, reporting to the Foreman.

Responsibilities include leading crew, training apprentices, installing and maintaining lines, and ensuring proper switching, tagging and safety protocols. A CDL is required and five years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Five years of recent transmission line experience.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Valid CDL is required.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain and repair energized and de-energized transmission systems with safety as a priority.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and ground workers.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Operate bucket trucks and other transmission line equipment; perform rigging and lifting.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and be available for outages, storms and emergencies.
