Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Manager/Team Lead to join our Phoenix Power Delivery program. You will oversee high‑voltage transmission projects, manage a small engineering team, and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver reliable, sustainable power solutions.

The role emphasizes leadership, client management, and effective use of project management practices. You will contribute to a culture of employee ownership and inclusion while guiding project teams through full life cycles

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7 years related experience.
• Minimum 2 years project management experience.
• Ability to interact with various design teams and communicate effectively.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision over an existing team of 3–4 engineers and designers with growth goals.
• Manage client relationships, project management, staff supervision, and technical support.
• Lead transmission projects through full life cycle and ensure scope, schedule, budget adherence.
• Apply project management tools and techniques across initiation, planning, execution, and closeout.
• Coordinate with marketing and leadership for business development and hiring plans.
• Oversee non-engineering components like permitting and environmental aspects as needed.
• Lead QA/QC processes to deliver world-class quality and mentor other PMs/engineers.
