Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Manager/Team Lead to join our Phoenix Power Delivery program. You will oversee high‑voltage transmission projects, manage a small engineering team, and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver reliable, sustainable power solutions.

The role emphasizes leadership, client management, and effective use of project management practices. You will contribute to a culture of employee ownership and inclusion while guiding project teams through full life cycles

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
7 years related experience.
Minimum 2 years project management experience.
Ability to interact with various design teams and communicate effectively.
Active participation in employee-owned culture is required.

Responsibilities

Direct supervision over an existing team of 3–4 engineers and designers with growth goals.
Manage client relationships, project management, staff supervision, and technical support.
Lead transmission projects through full life cycle and ensure scope, schedule, budget adherence.
Apply project management tools and techniques across initiation, planning, execution, and closeout.
Coordinate with marketing and leadership for business development and hiring plans.
Oversee non-engineering components like permitting and environmental aspects as needed.
Lead QA/QC processes to deliver world-class quality and mentor other PMs/engineers.
