Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power team.

This role can be performed from anywhere in the United States, offering remote flexibility while contributing to high‑impact transmission projects in the energy sector. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of related engineering experience, a PE license, and strong skills in AutoCAD, PLS-CADD/PLS-Pole, and related software.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of related engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer registration in the United States is mandatory.
• Knowledge of transmission lines with operating voltages not less than 115kV.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to guide a multidisciplinary design team.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and transmission line design software (PLS-CADD/PLS-Pole; knowledge of PLS-Tower, SAGSEC, CAISSON is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of professionals or small teams in the Power sector to execute projects.
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables for transmission lines.
• Prepare and review material lists, construction details, drawings, and diagrams.
• Prepare and review procurement activities and deliverables.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and review supplier bids.
• Mentor and provide technical support to team members.
• Coordinate with discipline leads, project managers, vendors, contractors, and clients.
• Document and track project tasks and design documents.
• Perform constructability reviews of design packages.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets; report status regularly.
