Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; eight or more years of relevant experience in electric utility transmission design.
• Experience reviewing full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models, foundations, material, plan and profiles, and construction packages.
• Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements, construction specifications, material procurement process, project schedules and construction work packages.
• Develop project scopes, budgets and proposals; communicate effectively with clients and project teams; work in a team or independently.
• Travel to client sites may be required; program experience includes PLS-CADD/POLE, MicroStation, ProjectWise, Mathcad, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Engineer on electric transmission line design projects for HV overhead and underground systems (46kV–345kV).
• Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other standards in design and analysis.
• Prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, and material procurement and construction documents.
• Interface with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management staff.
• Collaborate with Leidos team and coordinate work across project interfaces.
