Job summary

Vantage Point Solutions is seeking a Transmission Engineering Lead (PE) to provide technical direction, project oversight, and client engagement for electric utility transmission projects. This role oversees design, planning studies, and field support from concept to commissioning.

The candidate will mentor engineers, ensure compliance with NESC/IEEE/ANSI/RUS standards, and manage budgets and schedules while collaborating with clients and contractors in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Active PE license; ability to obtain licensure in other states through reciprocity.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electric utility transmission design and engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering leadership experience with direct supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of tower, pole, and underground transmission design, system analysis, and utility construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, project oversight, and client engagement for transmission projects.
• Lead and manage multiple transmission projects from planning through construction and commissioning.
• Perform design reviews, prepare equipment specs, and seal for-construction transmission designs (PE-sealed).
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and engineering cost estimates.
• Mentor engineers and support business development while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
