Job summary

Vantage Point Solutions is seeking a Substation Engineering Lead (PE) to provide technical leadership, project oversight, and client engagement for electric utility substation projects.

You will plan, design, and oversee construction of substations; mentor engineers; and ensure delivery meets safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals. 10+ years in electric utility subs, PE license preferred, field-ready, and adept at cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Power Systems.
• Active PE license and ability to obtain licensure in other states.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electric utility substation design and engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering leadership with supervisory duties.
• Experience with utility personnel, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple substation projects from planning through commissioning.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews throughout project delivery.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery compliant with standards.
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.
• Stay current with codes, standards, and emerging technologies.
