Job summary

Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking an engineer to provide substation engineering support across planning, design, maintenance, and operations. The role covers project management, construction, and restoration tasks, with emphasis on grid reliability and protection systems.

Preferred candidates have experience with transmission protection, RTU/SCADA, and relevant NERC regulations. Onsite work in Flora, MS, with up to 25% travel, and opportunities for professional certification support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in engineering from a four-year accredited program.
• Preferred: Electrical engineering degree; PE may be considered.
• Experience with protection systems, RTU/SCADA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering analysis across substation planning, design, and maintenance.
• Support Field area Substation staff with diagnostics and maintenance tasks.
• Assist with storm restoration and outage response activities.
• Ensure compliance with NERC, CIP, and other regulations.
• Collaborate with Transmission org and other units to meet goals.
