Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Five years of experience in transportation equipment repair and/or in the administration of maintenance and repair of a fleet of transportation vehicles.
• Five years of related supervisory experience.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MCRS (Rail Focus) or similar tracking system, database, PeopleSoft, and Mainframe applications.
• A valid Driver’s License.
• English language skills sufficient for effective performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the activities of the work crews under their jurisdiction, including supervising personnel and resources involved in maintenance and construction of overhead and underground power lines and equipment.
• Inspect maintenance and construction of Transmission and Distribution projects to ensure conformance with standards.
• Coordinate with Authority Engineers and Consultants regarding design and construction of new power facilities.
• Assign daily work for crews performing maintenance and repair of HVAC systems and DC distribution systems.
• Ensure safety and cost-effectiveness in all work and meet budgetary goals.
• Recruit, train, discipline, and promote personnel as needed.
• Respond to emergencies 24/7 and communicate with top management and other departments.
