Job summary

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in Boston is seeking a Supervisor of Electrical Maintenance to plan, schedule, direct, and supervise personnel and resources across the Electrical Maintenance Section, delivering inspections, repairs, installations, and refurbishing work on medium and low voltage systems, lighting, pumps, and tunnel facilities.

You will enforce MBTA and OSHA safety standards, review work for improvements, coordinate material deliveries, maintain records, and support

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Five (5) years of experience in electrical system inspection, maintenance, and repair of medium voltage systems.
One (1) year of supervisory experience managing a team.
Valid Massachusetts Electrical license.
Valid driver’s license per MBTA policy.
Proficient with Word, Excel, or database applications.
Strong organizational, analytical, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, direct, and supervise personnel, equipment, and resources in Electrical Maintenance.
Perform inspections, repairs, installations, alterations, and refurbishing work on electrical systems.
Enforce MBTA and OSHA safety standards to ensure worker and customer safety.
Review employees’ work and contractor performance to suggest improvements.
Coordinate requisition and delivery of materials and equipment.
Maintain inventory reporting and accurate labor/material records.
