Job summary

AEP Texas Company, Inc. is seeking a Transmission Construction professional to manage complex transmission line and station construction projects.

You will lead site activities, ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with environmental and engineering teams to keep projects on time and within budget. The role requires strong project management experience in the electric utility sector, with responsibilities spanning permits, closeouts, and coordination with landowners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management and emphasis on project management or related field.
• Extensive project/construction management experience in the electric industry.
• Experience in coordinating with environmental/regulatory teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction site management for transmission line and station facilities to meet budget, schedule and scope.
• Oversee compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and safety programs.
• Coordinate with environmental teams and contractors to follow policies and permits.
• Review project documents and drawings for quality and adherence to standards.
• Ensure permits and landowner/governmental agreements are properly managed and closed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in construction management science with emphasis on project/construction management

Bachelor’s degree in construction technology, Electrical or Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related technology field with a minimum of 6 years of project/construction management work experience

Associate degree in Construction Management Technology, Project Management, Electrical or Civil Engineering, or related technology field with 8 years of work experience in the electric industry, or project/construction management/oversight

High school graduate or equivalent with 12 years related experience
