Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Senior Scientist, Therapeutics & Translational Bioinformatics, to lead computational efforts enabling mRNA-based therapeutics and vaccines. You will analyze human, clinical, and preclinical data, performing bulk and single-cell transcriptomics, TCR/BCR repertoire studies, and multi-omics integration.

The role demands ML proficiency, robust pipelines, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• PhD with postdoctoral or industry experience in computational biology or immunology.
• Experience applying analyses to human and translational data for drug development.
• Strong background in bulk and single-cell transcriptomics, and TCR/BCR repertoire analysis.
• Proven ability to lead complex computational projects and collaborations.

Responsibilities

• Lead computational efforts for therapeutic programs with cross‑functional teams.
• Perform integrated multi‑omics analyses to generate system‑level insights.
• Carry out bulk and single‑cell transcriptomics analyses and data integration.
• Develop ML/DL approaches for biomarker discovery and patient stratification.
• Communicate findings through reports, publications, and leadership briefings.
