Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Senior Scientist, Therapeutics & Translational Bioinformatics, to join a multidisciplinary team advancing mRNA therapeutics and vaccines. You will lead analyses of human, clinical, and preclinical data to identify targets, biomarkers, and response signatures.

The role requires deep expertise in multi-omics, ML/AI, and translating data into actionable insights, with collaboration across teams and leadership in developing reproducible pipelines.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field with postdoc or industry experience.
• Strong foundation in computational biology and immunology.
• Experience applying analyses to diverse human and preclinical data.
• Background in immune-mediated diseases, oncology, infectious diseases, or mRNA therapeutics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the computational effort for therapeutic programs from discovery to early clinical development.
• Perform integrated multi-omics analyses of human clinical data and preclinical models.
• Conduct rigorous bulk and single‑cell transcriptomic analyses and TCR/BCR repertoire analysis.
• Develop machine-learning approaches for biomarker discovery and patient stratification.
• Translate computational findings into actionable hypotheses and recommendations.
• Maintain scalable, reproducible analysis pipelines and document workflows.
• Communicate results to cross-functional teams and leadership.
