Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Technical Director, Stations Lead to manage the GEC design team for underground station development and ensure deliverables meet project requirements.

The role is based in a client office in San Jose, requiring strong leadership, coordination with stakeholders, and extensive rail design experience across structures, MEP, civil/site, and roadways to optimize costs and schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant post-education experience in large rail transit design and construction projects.
  • 5+ years in a similar role preferred.
  • Experience with transit, tunnels, and BART or similar.
  • Strong ability to lead multi-project programs and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination for Station Design and SOE design efforts.
  • Provide technical reviews of station designs across disciplines.
  • Coordinate with CPs, BART, and external groups on design issues.
  • Support facilities and engineering managers on program tasks.
  • Monitor design activities and CP action items.
  • Assist in construction RFP responsibilities.
