Job summary

AC Transit is seeking a Senior Schedule Analyst to prepare operating schedules for district vehicles and assign operators. The role analyzes passenger habits, traffic, and running times to optimize headways and service reliability.

You will use Hastus-ATP with AVL data to develop trips, connections, and blocks for multiple routes, and perform on-board checks and load analyses. The position requires an associate degree or equivalent in GIS, logistics, or mathematics and two years of relevant

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or equivalent) with emphasis in GIS, logistics, or mathematics.
• Two years of public transportation bus route scheduling experience.
• Ability to operate scheduling software and analyze AVL data.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes data on passenger riding habits, traffic conditions, and running time.
• Uses Hastus-ATP to prepare schedules based on AVL data and time-of-day headways.
• Prepares operating schedules with trips, connections, departure and arrival times, and blocks.
• Conducts on-board checks and records passenger counts and times.
• Coordinates school service calendars with the service planner and divisions.
