AC Transit is seeking a Retirement Plan Analyst to provide retirement benefits information, process retirement-related forms, and resolve related issues. The role supports disability retirement processes, prepares materials for the Retirement Board, and may present findings to the Board.
The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and at least four years of retirement administration experience, with travel possible between facilities. Union position with AFSCME representation.
AC Transit is looking for a qualified Retirement Plan Analyst. Under general direction, this position, performs administrative support to moderately complex analytical work, providing Retirement Plan participants with information concerning their retirement benefits; assisting Retirement Plan participants with the processing of retirement-related forms, resolving any related problems, and understanding and applying applicable rules and regulations.

Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in finance, accounting, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
Four (4) years of professional level experience in retirement administration, human resources, finance or payroll. Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: administering defined-benefit plans, payroll, human resources/benefits, finance, or accounting. Two (2) years of experience as Retirement Plan Associate Analyst or an equivalent position may be substituted for two (2) years of required education.
Must be willing to occasionally work outside regular business hours and travel between the various District facilities if required.
Experience with defined benefit and retirement plan administration preferred.
Must maintain the physical condition necessary to: (1) perform tasks in an office setting operating a personal computer, keyboards, and other peripheral equipment; (2) possess physical mobility in order to transport oneself expeditiously within and between District facilities.
