Job summary

WeDriveU, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager in Livermore, CA to oversee safety compliance for the transit program. The role focuses on DOT/OSHA/CAL-OSHA regulations and workforce readiness for client needs.

Responsibilities include training design, driver supervision, recruiting and coaching, and accident/investigation reporting. A high school diploma is required, with some college preferred and CDL with passenger endorsement highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years managing paratransit safety/training programs and regulatory compliance.
• CDL with passenger endorsement required; driving experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience in driver workforce.
• Proficient in MS Office and transportation software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of initial and recurrent training for transportation personnel.
• Supervise driver trainers and set objectives and schedules.
• Proactively recruit individuals and train them to become drivers.
• Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel training and evaluate performance.
• Maintain drug/alcohol testing programs as required.
• Conduct regular Driver Safety Meetings.
• Investigate incidents and injuries and report to corporate per policy.
• Address customer safety complaints and take corrective actions.
