Job summary

WeDriveU, a leader in shared mobility, seeks a Safety Manager to develop and enforce safety compliance for our transit program. You will oversee DOT/OSHA/CAL-OSHA requirements and prepare our workforce to meet client needs.

The role includes designing training, supervising trainer staff, conducting safety meetings, investigating incidents, and ensuring regulatory adherence. CDL with passenger endorsement preferred; high school diploma required; 5+ years in safety/training in transportation.

Qualifications

• Training program development and delivery experience in transportation
• CDL with passenger endorsement required or preferred
• Ability to design and implement safety and training programs and ensure regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Design and implement initial and recurrent training programs for transportation personnel
• Supervise driver trainers and set objectives and schedules
• Recruit and train new drivers for the workforce
• Provide classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training to ensure successful completion
• Conduct ongoing training and evaluations for all Driver employees
• Administer drug/alcohol testing programs per policy
• Lead regular Driver Safety Meetings
• Respond to incidents with on-scene investigations and reporting
• Investigate customer safety complaints and take corrective action
• Oversee and administer the Safe Driver Award Program
