Job summary

Transdev is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee a team of mechanics, bus washers, utility workers and admin staff in Vallejo, CA. The role manages multi-shift maintenance, scheduling, and operations to meet DOT and client standards while ensuring safety and budget adherence.

Responsibilities include hiring, training, prioritizing maintenance, supervising vendors, and driving process improvements. Travel of 70–80% is required; a CDL-B license is preferred and a strong MS Office background is

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and schedule Maintenance Technicians.
• Approve priority of maintenance and repairs based on materials and parts availability and scheduled operations.
• Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside vendors.
• Ensure company and client equipment is maintained and operating efficiently.
• Manage inventory.
• Implement safety policies and procedures for the department per corporate requirements.
• Participate in the development and administration of the operational budget.
• Identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods.
• Travel requirement outside of immediate area 70-80%.
