Job summary

Transdev North America in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Lead Dispatcher/Controller who ensures the Dispatch team fills routes and provides Operators with timely instructions and responses. This role emphasizes safety and customer service, shaping daily operations.

You will oversee performance metrics, respond to incidents, and train new staff, while supporting OCC supervision and weekend/evening coverage. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years of transit supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee road service and trip performance measures, i.e. route start time, on-time performance, incidents.
• Respond to customer questions and concerns about no shows, cancellations, and missed trips.
• Manage vehicle operator emergency situations & escalated calls.
• Supervise staff on weekends and evenings.
• Manage department reports and other communication tools.
• Support the OCC Supervisor in training new employees.
• Other duties as required.
