Job summary

Central Moloney is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design and development of distribution transformers on-site in Pine Bluff, AR. You will design tank, core-coil frame assemblies, cooling systems, and accessories while ensuring compliance with IEEE, CSA and customer specs.

You will perform structural and thermal calculations, create manufacturing drawings, and collaborate with manufacturing, test, and quality teams to implement design improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of design engineering experience.
• Experience with sheet metal or welding design.
• Proficiency in CAD/FEA and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and review mechanical specifications for distribution transformers.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings and BOMs; review 3D CAD models.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve non-conformances.
• Stay updated on industry standards and participate in design reviews.
