Job summary

Central Moloney is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop distribution transformers. You will work on mechanical specifications, tank and cooling system design, and 3D CAD modeling for custom configurations.

Responsibilities include calculations for structural and thermal performance, manufacturing drawings, and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer requirements and standards. On-site role with growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in design engineering for transformers.
• Experience with sheet metal and welding processes for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and review mechanical specifications for distribution transformers.
• Prepare and review manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and 3D CAD models.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, test, and quality teams to resolve non-conformances and implement changes.
• Support certification and testing requirements including dielectric, short circuit and thermal performance tests.
• Participate in product development and standardization efforts to improve designs.
