Job summary

Central Moloney in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking an Electrical Designer to lead electrical design and development of distribution transformers. You will apply IEEE/CSA/DOE standards and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver compliant, manufacturable designs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of design experience in transformer equipment, with strong CAD/FEA skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a designer role in electrical distribution equipment, preferably transformers.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Strong CAD/FEA and simulation software skills.
Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, IEC, CSA standards and transformer manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Develop and validate transformer electrical configurations up to 35 kV (delta, wye, series/parallel).
Check designs against core/load losses, impedance, voltage regulation, and dielectric withstand.
Define major components (tap changers, bushings, arrestors, fusing, terminal arrangements).
Review and prepare technical design documents (diagrams, nameplate data, BOM).
Coordinate with mechanical, manufacturing, test, and quality teams to implement changes and improvements.
