Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a senior consultant to lead cross-functional transformation initiatives in Chicago. You will drive revenue-model optimization, cost reduction, and delivery improvements across clients, partnering with executives to deliver measurable financial results.

The role requires 4–8+ years in strategy consulting or equivalent experience, with a focus on EBITDA uplift, P&L ownership, and value creation. Travel and Claude AI familiarity are appreciated.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of consulting experience; top-tier strategy firms preferred.
• Bachelor’s in business administration or finance; MBA a plus.
• Proven track record leading transformation from assessment through implementation.
• Strong client delivery with sustainable, results-driven solutions.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with grit and outcomes focus.
• Experience with financial modeling, EBITDA improvement, value creation, and P&L ownership.
• High emotional intelligence; adept at leading teams and managing stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and work in dynamic environments.
• Experience using Claude AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformation efforts across revenue, delivery, cost, and governance models.
• Drive revenue-model optimization and product/service delivery improvements.
• Identify and reduce operating expenses through structured initiatives.
• Shape G&A operating model optimization and cross-functional alignment.
• Manage transformation programs with value capture and executive visibility.
• Develop new business opportunities leveraging personal network and market knowledge.
