Job summary

Affim is seeking a practical, proactive transactional attorney to join our Vendor Legal team. You will negotiate a broad range of vendor agreements, draft templates, and build scalable processes to support rapid growth in a remote-first environment.

You will partner with Procurement, Financial Partnerships, Engineering, Product, Security and Privacy teams to deliver clear, business-friendly advice, drive efficiency, and empower partners to self-serve on routine matters.

Qualifications

• Requires JD and active U.S. state bar membership.
• Minimum 5 years of in-house tech company or top law firm transactional experience.
• Strong drafting skills required.
• Experience with marketing tech, adtech, fintech, payments, or financial services.
• Experience handling cross-border transactions (Canada, US, UK/EU, Australia).
• Knowledge of data protection/privacy regimes (CCPA, GDPR, APPs, PIPEDA, GLBA).
• Ability to manage high deal volume with attention to detail.
• Experience building or improving legal processes and playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting, and execution of vendor agreements (marketing tech, cloud services, SaaS, data platform, etc.).
• Design and improve playbooks, templates, guides to increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, engineering, product, and security for guidance.
• Act as strategic business partner to stakeholders across the organization.
• Develop trainings to empower partners to self-serve on routine legal matters.
