Job summary

Baker Tilly in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Transaction Services practice within Financial Advisory. You will perform due diligence, financial analysis, and data gathering for buy-side, sell-side, and corporate finance engagements.

You will interact with Partners, prepare earnings quality reports, build financial models in Excel, and deliver insights to clients across varied industries in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required and a CPA designation are preferred.
• At least three (3) years of relative experience required, ideally in a mid to large size professional services firm performing audits and related services for a diverse client base.
• At least two (2) years of transaction services / due diligence experience highly preferred.
• Professional designations or candidacy (CFE, CFA, etc.) and / or an advanced degree are a plus.
• High motivation, initiative and positive attitude.
• Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities appropriately.
• Intermediate modeling and excel skills, experience conducting complex quantitative and qualitative financial analysis and ability to generate data-driven insights.
• Ability to work autonomously, to meet tight deadlines, and to thrive in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, experience presenting analyses to management and ability to lead and drive initiatives.
• Ability to work effectively and thrive in a team environment with all levels of client personnel in various industries.
• Ability to comfortably interact with senior level client personnel, including supporting the preparation of and participating in executive briefings

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with Partners on client engagement management.
• Data gathering, document review and quality of earnings reports.
• Research and financial analysis of target companies.
• Due diligence for buy side, sell side, and corporate finance transactions.
• Communication with clients to ensure delivery of exceptional client service.
• Participate in various marketing and recruiting activities of the firm.
