Job summary

TxDOT is seeking a Training Specialist III to develop, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate department training programs. You will partner with cross-functional teams to design learning solutions that support business goals and manage external vendors to procure, coordinate and measure training services.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of training experience; travel up to 25%, onsite in Austin, with opportunities for career development and a comprehensive benefits package.

• Design assessments to evaluate training outcomes.
• Experience with online and instructor-led formats.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, delivers and evaluates department training classes or programs.
• Partners with cross-functional teams to design and implement learning solutions.
• Manages relationships with external vendors to procure, coordinate, and evaluate training services and resources.
• Establishes course schedules and district or division training slots based on annual needs.
• Travels to administer training functions.
