Job summary

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) seeks a senior Training & Development Specialist VI to lead advanced training initiatives. You will deliver programs, design curricula, and oversee leadership development activities for DFPS Learning and Development.

Responsibilities include facilitating workshops, evaluating programs, coordinating schedules, and ensuring program quality. This is an exempt, full-time role in Houston with travel up to 40% and a competitive benefits

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in social work, education, or a related field.
• Experience delivering classroom and/or distance learning training preferred.
• Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
• At least 3 years of recent leadership experience as a Mid-level leader or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Delivers training in a classroom, distance learning environment, or e-learning environment.
• Facilitates workshops and training with effective delivery methods.
• Evaluates training programs for effectiveness and transfer of learning.
• Designs and creates customized training plans/outlines for learning objectives.
