Job summary

Dashiell, a Quanta Services unit, seeks a Senior Consultant – Training & Development to lead design, delivery, and continuous improvement of technical training for the electrical engineering discipline.

Based in Houston, TX with travel to other offices, the role covers training strategy, curriculum development, engineer mentorship, and expanding Dashiell University content to raise design quality. This position reports to the VP of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on substation engineering and design experience.
• PE licensure preferred; if not licensed, licensure within one year of hire.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI in substation design.
• Experience developing or leading technical training programs or curricula.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and continuously improve technical training curricula for electrical engineering, including onboarding and refresher training.
• Facilitate recurring training sessions, workshops, and lunch‑and‑learns on substation design practices and standards.
• Identify skills gaps and translate QA/QC findings into targeted training content and learning modules.
• Conduct new-hire onboarding and technical orientation for engineers joining the electrical discipline.
• Track training completion and program effectiveness for leadership reporting.
