Job summary

Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services is seeking a Training Technician III at the Wrentham Developmental Center to support staff development and education. You will lead the Learning and Development Team, design curricula, and coordinate trainings for facility staff, families and individuals.

You will manage administrative tasks, ensure compliance with DDS policies, and facilitate online and hybrid training formats, contributing to ongoing staff growth and program excellence.

Qualifications

• Four years of full‑time, or equivalent part‑time, professional training/teaching experience.
• At least one year in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity.
• A Bachelor's degree in education may substitute up to two years of the required experience.
• A Graduate degree may substitute up to three years of the required experience.
• Substitutions may not replace supervisory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support training for staff; assist with registration, tracking and documentation.
• Develop and deliver trainings, workshops, and conferences for staff, families and individuals.
• Provide admin and logistical support to ensure training content aligns with DDS practices and policies.
• Create and adapt training materials for in‑person, online and hybrid formats.
• Collaborate with DDS training teams, agency staff and stakeholders to address needs.
• Conduct new hire orientation and ensure completion of mandated trainings.
• Provide support for online platforms such as DDS Learning and MassAchieve.
• Chair monthly training committee meetings and guide program improvements.
