Job summary

The University of New Orleans seeks a proactive training lead to manage the Centralized Appeals Unit's internal training program, focusing on Medicaid policy, LaMEDS, and appeals processes. You will develop training materials, coordinate with the CAU Unit Manager, and ensure consistent messaging across units.

You will maintain a complete materials catalog, schedule trainings, promote opportunities, enroll participants, and track attendance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree with professional experience or six years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in training, project management, or communications.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience with Louisiana Medicaid policy and procedures.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience working within LaMEDS.
  • Desired: 3+ years in training, project management, or communications; 2+ years with LaMEDS; relevant industry certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of training materials for Medicaid policy, LaMEDS, and appeals.
  • Communicate with the CAU Unit Manager about training on policy and system updates.
  • Coordinate with other Medicaid training units to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Maintain a complete catalog of training materials and a calendar of sessions.
  • Promote training opportunities and manage enrollment and attendance records.
  • Meet with LDH staff to discuss program changes and their impact on materials.
  • Edit materials and secure approvals from the CAU Unit Manager.
  • Review final materials for accuracy and completeness.
  • Arrange venues and equipment for classes and webinars; support trainings as needed.
  • Attend, contribute to, and conduct trainings; perform other tasks as assigned.
