American Structurepoint is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the Ohio Traffic Group in Columbus, OH. The role provides technical leadership and oversight for traffic operations, safety, planning, and design projects for public and private clients across Ohio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive traffic/transportation engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading traffic engineering assignments for ODOT, municipalities, counties, MPOs, or similar agencies.
• Working knowledge of MUTCD/OMUTCD, AASHTO, FHWA guidance and traffic engineering software.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform traffic engineering assignments for Ohio projects across public and private sectors.
• Lead technical work involving capacity analyses, signals, signing, and multimodal improvements.
• Conduct and oversee traffic safety analyses, crash data evaluation, and countermeasure development.
• Develop and evaluate intersection/corridor improvement alternatives, including signals and access management.
• Lead QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with standards; mentor junior staff.
