CDM Smith in Orlando, FL is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Engineer to lead traffic, safety, and multimodal projects across the region. You will serve as Task Manager or Project Engineer on multiple work orders, supporting proposals and staffing, and performing traffic simulations with industry tools.

The role requires PE licensure and ~7 years of relevant experience, with travel as needed. You will contribute to corridor studies, ITS planning, and signal design while ensuring adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Task Manager or Project Engineer on multiple work orders.
• Support proposals and project staffing.
• Perform traffic simulation and capacity analyses using Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, HCS, and SIDRA.
• Conduct safety analyses using HSM methodologies and Safe System principles.
• Support multimodal and transit analyses and planning studies.
• Prepare corridor studies, PEL studies, and Needs & Deficiencies assessments.
• Develop Functional Design Reports and Preliminary Engineering Reports.
• Support ITS planning and design.
• Address community traffic engineering and safety issues.
• Provide peer review of traffic studies prepared by others.
• Design traffic signals and signal systems, including plans, specs, and cost estimates.
