Job summary
Hanson Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Chief Traffic Engineer to lead our traffic engineering discipline and drive quality across projects nationwide. The role involves oversight of analysis, design tasks, and client engagement to deliver high-impact solutions.
Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of traffic engineering experience, PE licensure in Illinois, and the ability to mentor staff across multiple offices. A signing bonus is available for a strong full-time candidate.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in civil engineering or related degree.
- 15+ years of traffic engineering and analysis experience.
- Current Illinois PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Lead QA/QC reviews of traffic simulation models, intersection and interchange design studies, engineering reports, and traffic signal/ITS design documents.
- Monitor quality and progress of traffic engineering tasks on active projects; ensure production requirements and project expectations are met.
- Collaborate with project managers and senior staff to execute significant projects across the country.
