Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer to lead the traffic practice across South Carolina. The candidate will be a technical leader in traffic studies, design, and project management, engaging in business development and proposal writing.

Responsibilities include overseeing projects, mentoring staff, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and growing the regional market. Hybrid schedule in South Carolina is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Familiarity with design and plan preparation and traffic engineering software; MS Office proficiency is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate strategic growth and market presence in South Carolina.

• Manage regional budget and allocate resources effectively.
• Lead and contribute to the production of proposals.
• Serve as technical expert to project managers and staff; mentor and hire staff as needed.
