Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in traffic engineering, roadway design, transportation planning, or related projects.
• Strong knowledge of MUTCD, AASHTO, ADA, IDOT, and local standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC reviews for traffic engineering, roadway design, transportation planning, and intersection improvement projects.
• Review plans, calculations, reports, specifications, cost estimates, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate traffic operations analyses, safety studies, traffic impact assessments, and intersection design recommendations.
• Review roadway geometric design elements including alignments, intersection layouts, and multimodal configurations.
• Verify compliance with MUTCD, AASHTO, ADA, and agency standards.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to engineers and project teams.
• Support project managers to maintain quality throughout project development.
