The position offers hybrid/remote flexibility across Chicago, Lisle, Peoria, or Springfield offices and emphasizes QA/QC oversight and mentoring engineers. Required are a PE license, a bachelor's in civil engineering, and 15+ years in traffic/roadway projects, with strong knowledge of MUTCD, AASHTO, and ADA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in traffic engineering, roadway design, transportation planning, or related projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC reviews for traffic engineering, roadway design, transportation planning, and intersection improvement projects.
• Review plans, calculations, reports, specifications, and cost estimates for accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate traffic operations analyses, safety studies, and intersection design recommendations.
• Mentor engineers and project teams while supporting project managers to maintain quality.
