Job summary

Creighton Manning, a GAI Company, seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our Syracuse office. You will lead traffic tasks with complex features, either directly or through supervision, thriving in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment and collaborating across disciplines.

You will work with DOT standards and MUTCD design requirements, manage project teams, perform traffic modeling, design signals and MPT elements, and communicate effectively with clients and leadership.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (or higher) required.
• 12+ years of experience in traffic engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license with reciprocity in multiple states.
• Driver’s license required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• MicroStation CAD skills required; OpenRoads Designer experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead production and verification of traffic reports, design plans, calculations, and cost opinions.
• Perform traffic modeling and analysis using HCS, Synchro, SimTraffic, and related design work.
• Serve as task manager on projects.
• Oversee a project team and coordinate documentation for major projects.
• Apply risk management and ensure compliance with policies.
