Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems seeks a Traffic Control Supervisor II to oversee and execute traffic control and safety operations on assigned projects. You will lead crews, set up lane closures, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

The role requires 3–4 years of traffic control experience, ATSSA Supervisor certification, and the ability to travel statewide. A valid SC driver’s license and DOT readiness are essential as you manage equipment and safety on varied sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record is required.
• 3–4 years of traffic control experience (6,000+ hours) is required.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification is required.
• Must complete ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor advanced training.
• Proven experience setting up traffic control on state/local roadways.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily traffic control crews including technicians and flaggers.
• Set up, monitor, and remove lane closures on highways and roadways.
• Transport equipment to and from job sites.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training to crew.
• Mentor and train new hires in traffic control procedures.
• Maintain job documentation and timesheets.
• Operate MOT and TMA vehicles to protect workers.
• Set up signs, arrow boards, and other safety devices.
• Inspect work zones for safety and proper device placement.
• Perform routine maintenance on traffic control equipment.
