Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems in Roanoke, VA is hiring a Traffic Control Supervisor II to oversee traffic control operations for state and local roadways. You will set up lane closures, redirect traffic for crews, and ensure work complies with safety regulations.

The role leads a crew of Traffic Control Technicians and Flaggers, conducts safety trainings, maintains documentation, and travels to multiple sites as required, including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification required.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor advanced training completed.
• 2–3 years of traffic control experience and 4,000+ hours.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Experience setting up traffic control on state/local roadways.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
• Lead daily traffic control crews with leadership and advanced knowledge of traffic control.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Deliver toolbox talks and job-specific safety training to crew members.
• Mentor and train new hires in proper traffic control and safety procedures.
• Ensure timesheets, work tickets, and job documentation are completed accurately.
